Antonio Conte Already Reveals A Player Who Could Solve Man United Problems At The Midfield
With barely six weeks until the start of the Premier League season, Erik ten Hag is presently attempting to improve his inherited lineup.
The Dutch will face an in-form Brighton Hove and Albion on August 7 in his maiden Premier League outing as a manager, as has been hinted at.
He is concentrating on upgrading his engine room this summer, and Christian Eriksen and Frankie De Jong, both ex-Tottenham Hotspur players, have already been considered.
Frankie De Jong will undoubtedly play defense for the team, and Christian Eriksen is expected to challenge Bruno Fernandes for the offensive position.
The Dutch might also adjust his formation to include Eriksen, De Jong, and Bruno Fernandes.
However, Conte appears to have told Erik ten Hag how he could use Eriksen to fix his problems at the midfield after working with Eriksen at Inter Milan before being struck by heart-related disease that gave him orders from Sanssiro.
Back in 2021, Conte insisted that Eriksen can find a way to exploit his inventiveness in front of his own defenders in the final attacking third ( defensive role)
Should Man United be successful in signing the Dane this summer, the manager may be able to get the best performance from Eriksen in both his roles as an attacking midfielder and a defensive midfielder, which would be similar to a double singing.
"Even if Christian is already playing as an attacking-midfielder and a midfielder who moves deeper, we want to get the most out of him in that position. This is advantageous for the squad, and it gives me the chance to play a different midfield position."
