Nigeria eligible youngstar included in Manchester United's pre-season squad
The Red Devils' official website has photographs of the players reporting back for preseason practice at their Carrington base, including England U19 international midfielder Shoretire, who is of Nigerian heritage. The Anglo-Nigerian has been invited to train with the first team for the second consecutive preseason after working out with the senior players last summer and playing in friendlies against Brentford, Queens Park Rangers, and Derby County.
Since several senior players have failed to report for preseason training owing to international obligations with their respective nationalities throughout the summer, Shoretire has once again been promoted to first team training by ten Hag.
Given that a decision regarding his future is anticipated to be made before the end of the summer transfer window, whether he is loaned out to continue his development, brought into the first team fold, or remains with the development squad, he will be hoping to catch the attention of the Dutch football tactician.
This preseason, United has scheduled friendlies against Rayo Vallecano, Atletico Madrid, Crystal Palace, Liverpool, Melbourne Victory, and Melbourne City.
