Before the Argentine superstar joined PSG, Lionel Messi wanted Sadio Mane to transfer to Barcelona, according to the agency of the Bayern star. 

Sadio Mane refused to leave Liverpool and join Lionel Messi at Barcelona, despite his best efforts. 
According to Mane's publicist, Messi wanted the Senegal star to join him at Barcelona.

According to Sadio Mane's PR representative, during contract negotiations with the Catalan club last summer, Messi allegedly "forced" Mane on Barca.

According to RMC Sport, the Argentine great, now playing for Paris Saint-Germain, wanted to lead the line alongside Mane. 

Even according to agent Bacary Cisse, PSG sought to snag the 30-year-old this season before Bayern Munich. 

"Yes, PSG did attack Sadio," he replied. PSG's sporting director Leonardo Araujo had multiple interactions with the German agency. They met up, talked about the specifics of Sadio's potential transfer to PSG, but that was it.

Leonardo was in an ejection seat, as everyone knows; we had to wait. It might have happened to FC Barcelona last year as well. 

"When it came to choose whether to extend to Barca, it was Lionel Messi who forced Sadio Mane into the contract. 

Sadio Mane and an Argentinian central defender were the two names he provided. 

Senegalese superstar left Merseyside club earlier this month, and Bayern finalized a £35 million trade for him.

The German powerhouses, who have won the top-flight championship for the previous TEN seasons, have signed the forward to a three-year contract. 

In addition, Cisse told TV5MONDE that despite Liverpool's second-place finish in the Premier League and loss in the Champions League final, Mane made the right decision to remain at the club last season. 

"I believe Sadio picked the right team at the right time," he continued. 

"Bayern's ambition was quite enticing," he said of the opportunity to take on a new challenge after winning everything with Liverpool.
