Alan Kyerematen reports that the Komenda Sugar Factory will begin testing in July.

The Komenda Sugar Factory is projected to embrace a creation trial toward the finish of July 2022, Mr Alan Kyerematen, the Minister of Trade and Industry, has informed Parliament.

The Minister in his record of the condition of the production line said the establishment of another pipeline to and from the plant to the molasses tank was 100% finished; adding that refractors and slacking work in the heater and chimney stacks are 100% finished.

 

He said vacuum and water testing at the kettle house had been finished and that the evaporator had begun working, while steam pressure test was continuous for the turbine to produce force of 3-megawatt (MW) power yield.

 

Mr Kyerematen said hardware and apparatus at the Millhouse, Boiling House, Boiler and Powerhouse segments of the plant had all been updated, fixed and parts supplanted where essential.

He said crude sugar refining, upgrading from 8-10 tons each hour to 16-20 tons each hour had been finished.

 

He said electrical and instrument work with every one of the engines and the evaporator segment had been kept up with and fixed, though development of another water supply of 2,000,000 liter limit was finished and that the current was 150,000 liters in particular.

 

The Minister expressed sandblasting to eliminate rust and forestall further consumption of gear to keep up with the trustworthiness of all psychological surfaces at the industrial facility had been finished.

 

He expressed development of another synthetic stockpiling distribution center, new flask, and new washrooms for the two sexual orientations were continuous.

 

He said another distribution center for crude sugar large sacks of one ton to 5,000 tons limit with regards to the capacity of sugar was progressing, expressing that new stuff transporter stage development work was finished.

Mr Kyerematen said the turbine for power creation had been upgraded and it is under creation test.
