Chelsea are reportedly planning a summer move for Inter Milan centre-back Milan Skriniar after deciding that Juventus star Matthijs de Ligt is too expensive at £102 million.

The Blues will require new defensive signings this summer as both Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen become free agents, and the ageing Thiago Silva will undoubtedly be unable to play as frequently next season.

De Ligt could have been a fine signing for Chelsea, but the Netherlands international is deemed too expensive at £102m, leading the west London giants to focus on Skriniar instead, according to the Daily Mail.

A number of other defenders have been linked with Chelsea, with Fabrizio Romano tweeting that Kalidou Koulibaly, Jules Kounde, and Nathan Ake are all Kalidou Koulibaly, adding another name to Chelsea's list as they continue to look for two centre backs. His contract with Napoli expires in 2023.

It's been reported that Koulibaly is being discussed alongside de Ligt, Aké, and Koundé. Raphinha comes first, followed by the center backs.

Chelsea adds another name to their four-man wish list after completing the Raphinha transfer.
