Prof Mills dedication address scheduled for June 29
The Governing Board of the Professor John Evans Atta Mills Memorial Heritage will today Wednesday, June 29, hold series of dedicatory talks to stamp the tenth commemoration of the downfall of late Prof Mills, the third President of the Fourth Republic of Ghana.
The talks would praise the late Prof Mills as a scholar and a scholarly who showed quickness to wander into the political flight of stairs and held himself together.
The program would unite scores of dignitaries from the scholarly world, customary and strict pioneers, understudies and political stalwarts from the political gap in the Central and Western Regions.
It would be hung on the subject: "The Man John Evans Atta Mills - 10 years on" at the New Examination Center at the University of Cape Coast (UCC).
Prof Kwesi Aning, Director of the Faculty of Academic Affairs and Research at the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Center would convey the feature address.
Supporting addresses would be conveyed by Prof Akua Opokua Britwum with the Department of Labor and Human Resource Studies, UCC and Prof George Agyei with the Department of Mining Engineering, University of Mine and Technology (UMAT).
Instructions the media on the program, Prof Dora Francisca Edu-Buandoh, Chairperson for the Local Organizing Committee portrayed late Prof Mills as a desert garden of harmony, whose end brought together the country regardless of one's political influence.
"It has been 10 years and history has shown us not to fail to remember the qualities and altruistic deeds of individuals who lived with us."
"Their lives remind us to hold immovably to our normal aggregate qualities personally and urge us to lead the more youthful ages to do same," she said.
The late Prof Mills as per her, was a famous child, a teacher, an intellectual, a games man, a loyalist, and a harmony cherishing Ghanaian.
The paradise of harmony he made in Ghana, she said, couldn't be ignored as it brought consideration and honor from substances and nations.
"It is for these characteristics of authority he showed and the tradition of his character that the Prof Mills Memorial Heritage has been laid out.
"It will keep on deifying the late Prof's persona, time on the planet, and inheritance as quite possibly of Ghana's most trustworthy President.
Late President Mills kicked the bucket on Tuesday, July 2012 while he was in office tossing the whole country into shock and distress.
