NPP never involved COVID-19 assets for 2020 mission - Abankwa-Yeboah
The National Treasurer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwabena Abankwa-Yeboah has discredited claims that the party involved cash gave to the country for battling COVID-19 to finance their mission during the 2020 races.
Talking on Angel FM's Morning Show, An?pa B?fo?, Mr Abankwa-Yeboah who is looking to be the party's National Chairman said this didn't occur under him and thus approached Ghanaians to dispose of such bits of gossip.
There are convictions that the public authority out of franticness utilized the assets intended to subsidize the pandemic for mission and that has added to the ongoing monetary difficulty.
Responding to this assertion, Mr Abankwa-Yeboah said that is never the situation as per him, the party coordinated its own financing.
"We never utilized the COVID assets for crusade in 2020, I am the financier and I know this for a reality… ," he said.
He was hopeful that the NPP will actually want to break the eight with him in control.
He, in this way, approached the party to decide in favor of him at the National congress.
"I won't give any sort of commitment since I don't have confidence in guarantees… however I accept and realize that I win the decisions… ," he said.
