Despite the mayhem that broke out on the first day of their demonstration, Bernard Mornah, a prominent member of the Arise Ghana movement, has said that they will still go ahead with the day two protest.

He claims that the police planned the violence that took place during their demonstration since they shot rubber bullets and used tear gas on the demonstrators without reason.

"The cops began hurling tear gas and rubber bullets at us... When we realised that the protesters had begun firing into the vehicle while we were addressing them, it was too late. The shot struck some persons. In the car, Asiedu Nketiah was completely flat. When Ofosu Ampofo tried to veer off the path, he fell. Despite our best efforts, the cops tried everything they could to control the situation.

they were successful. Our demonstration is still going on. A two-day demonstration is scheduled.

"Why are you going to attack us so violently? You are not permitted to direct where we should use it or when to start under the public order act. According to Bernard Mornarh, the police opened fire on the protestors after they made no move.

Arise On June 28, Ghana staged a historic two-day protest to largely denounce the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government's ongoing and exorbitant gasoline price increases, which have caused severe economic hardship for Ghanaians.

According to a statement by Sammy Gyamfi, the demonstration will also condemn the callous Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government's imposition of the annoying E-Levy on the already-burdened Ghanaians and would call for a full-scale protest.

Others will demonstrate against the administration of Akufo-Addo and Bawumia's officials seizing public lands, notably the declassification of major areas of the Achimota Forest Reserve.

The remainder will be used to protest the growing culture of human rights abuses overseen by President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, as well as the rate of police brutality and state-sponsored killings of innocent Ghanaians. Additionally, they will demand the complete cancellation of the deceptive "Agyapa" deal.

On June 28, 2022, the organisation began its first day of protests from the Kwame Nkrumah Circle Interchange/Obra Spot, however violence broke out as demonstrators threw stones at the police.

Numerous protesters were hurt as the police also used rubber bullets and tear gas in reaction.

The organisation claims that in spite of these events, it would still hold its demonstration, which is planned to begin at El-Wak Sports stadium and finish at Parliament House.

Arise Ghana's rally at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle was marred by violent acts, and the police have now confirmed the arrest of 29 persons in relation with those incidents.

The police were also looking into the tape that was accessible with the goal of making more arrests if necessary, according to a statement dated June 28 and signed by Chief Superintendent Grace Ansah-Akrofi, Director of Public Affairs.

The statement from June 28, 2022 continued, "The Police have detained 29 protestors for their involvement in violent attacks on the police and certain members of the public, including schoolchildren, during the Arise Ghana rally in Accra.
