This summer, CHELSEA are rumored to sign Matthijs de Ligt and Jules Kounde.
In order to replace important center backs Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, whose contracts are set to expire at the end of the month, Chelsea is desperately seeking defensive reinforcements this summer. Jules Kounde of Sevilla and Matthijs de Ligt of Juventus have both been linked with high-profile moves to the Blues. Chelsea may be forced to shed some players to acquire transfer funds, though, since deals for the wings Raheem Sterling and Raphinha are in the works. Additionally, Express Sport examines four stars that the Blues might sell.
Thomas Werner
Two years ago, Chelsea spent enormous sums of money to wrest Timo Werner away from RB Leipzig. However, the 26-year-old has fallen short of expectations at Stamford Bridge and hasn't been able to score as many goals or provide as many assists as Blues management would have liked when they signed him.
The Germany international might be unnecessary if Sterling and Raphinha do sign contracts in west London. Additionally, Thomas Tuchel, the manager, might approve the flop's departure.
Pulisic, Christian
Christian Pulisic is another winger who hasn't had the impact he wanted at Stamford Bridge. Since moving to the Blues from Borussia Dortmund in 2019, the American international has occasionally displayed exceptional play.

But he has endured a succession of injury issues and has been compelled to spend a lot of time watching from the sidelines. And as a result, he is unable to contribute much to the Chelsea assault. Tuchel might be considering finding Pulisic a new start at this point. The German could anticipate receiving a respectable sum for the 23-year-old.
Arrizabalaga Kepa
Since coming from Athletic Bilbao to Stamford Bridge in 2018, Kepa Arrizabalaga has experienced a career nightmare. Arrizabalaga cost the Blues an astounding £71 million, which is the most ever spent on a goalkeeper. But Edouard Mendy quickly took his place since he appeared out of place in the Premier League.
Three more years are left on the 27-year-current old's contract. But the Blues would happily cut connections with him if another team were prepared to make a reasonable offer.

Pedro Alonso
Marcos Alonso, a left back, played 46 times for Chelsea last season and has put on some remarkable displays while wearing a Chelsea jersey over the past six years. But if Ben Chilwell stays healthy and in front of the 31-year-old in the lineup, the latter is likely to see his playing time suffer this season.
This summer, Alonso has been connected to moves outside of the city. And Tuchel might believe that the Spaniard is worth giving up if doing so will increase Chelsea's transfer budget.
