A salesman who stole GHc28, 000 indomie money has been found guilty.
A Circuit Court in Accra has sentenced a 32-year-old Emmanuel Quartei Owoo, a sales rep after he was viewed as blameworthy to have misused GHc28,000 Indomie cash.
Owoo, a sales rep at the Accra Central Business District was viewed as at fault for two charges indeed; taking and fabrication of true records.
The court directed by Her Honor Mrs. Evelyn Asamoah thusly condemned him to a fine of 3000 punishment units which is identical to GHc36,000.
He is to serve a five-month prison term in difficult work on the off chance that he defaults on the installment of the cash.
As per the short realities of the case, as introduced to the court by Inspector B. Bennett, the indictment office, the Complainant is a Businesswoman and claims a shop at CMB-Accra Central Business District.
While the charged individual was a salesman at the complainant's shop.
The Prosecutor said, on October 9, 2020, the blamed was given week by week deals for GHc28,554.00 to pay into Multi-Pro Private Company Limited account number 6010121396 at Zenith Bank for the inventory of 500 (500) containers of Indomie.
He said, the charged went to the bank and paid a measure of GHc5,025 from another deal and later composed the figure to peruse GHc28,554.00 which was shipped off the complainant and sent to an Agent of the Company.
"In any case, the organization's record showed a measure of GHc5,025.00 was paid into the record demonstrating that, the figure on the copy duplicate of the store slip was fashioned," the examiner told the court.
He said, a report was made to the Police on October 15, 2020, and the denounced individual was captured.
"Charged in his advised explanation conceded having paid GH$5,025.00 and later changed the figures on the copy store slip," Inspector Benneh noted.
