Six Man Utd transfers have been updated as Erik ten Hag has given the team a deadline by which they must aim to complete the majority of their incomings.

The Red Devils are yet to make their first summer signing. Although there are numerous projects in the works, the Ten Hag era has started out slowly in terms of the market.

Goalkeeper, center-half, left-back, central midfield, and winger transfers are all either hotly tipped, under consideration, or about to happen.

Additionally, according to a Sky Sports report, Ten Hag wants the majority of United's acquisitions completed by July 8 in an apparent effort to pressure the team.

United departs on that day for their preseason trip, which kicks off on July 12 with a game against Liverpool in Thailand.

The deadline gives United's hiring staff just eight days to complete as many agreements as they can. Currently, six of United's possible moves have received an update from senior writer Melissa Reddy of Sports News.

Agreement with De Jong in place

She first claimed that a "basic agreement" had been reached to sign Frenkie de Jong of Barcelona. The most well-known player that Manchester United is interested in this summer is a 25-year-old Dutchman.

The sum United has agreed to pay Barcelona before add-ons varies according to reports. While other sources say £64m, some suggest the first cost is £56m.

In any case, it appears that a deal about the payment has been reached, and the focus is now entirely on persuading the player to transfer.

Reddy said that Christian Eriksen's contract offer is still on the table for midfield. The Dane has not decided yet whether to accept a job offer from Manchester United or stay at Brentford. Tottenham currently seems to be out of the running.

Reddy defended himself by restating Ajax's commitment to keeping Jurrien Timber. Louis van Gaal, the manager of the Netherlands, may have convinced the young center-back to remain in place.

Since Timber is unlikely to change teams, a deal for Lisandro Martinez will become more crucial.

Arsenal is also interested in the Argentine, and the Gunners are said to have submitted a £34 million proposal. The Sun, however, asserted that once a De Jong deal is completed, Martinez will overtake it as Ten Hag's primary priority.

Reddy acknowledged United's interest and that the team is researching the player.

A Tyrell Malacia theft estimated to be worth £13 million is anticipated to "finish soon." After jumping in at the last minute to scuttle Lyon's contract, United's decision to sign the Dutch left-back will be seen as something of a stroke of genius.

The first Manchester United signing will be Tyrell Malacia.

Tyrell Malacia was slated to move from Feyenoord to Lyon, but Manchester United snatched the deal away from Lyon.

The Red Devils and Ajax are reportedly "in talks" regarding Brazilian winger Antony.

The winger's price has recently increased thanks to the Amsterdam team. A move that was projected to cost £40m could now cost around £69m. Clearly, one aim of the talks will be to reduce the elevated fee.

Ten Hag's squad requires surgery in numerous areas. However, it might be said that center midfield is where they have recently lagged behind their competitors the most.

Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba both left on their own terms. Although Fred and Scott McTominay are still there, they lack the qualities that United need to return to their rightful place.

They have a reputation as defensively-oriented midfielders. However, despite frequently sharing the field last season, United's surrendered more goals than ever before in a Premier League season.

De Jong's arrival is therefore definitely their most crucial corporate transaction.

De Jong won't significantly improve the game's defense. He is always willing to receive the ball in confined spaces, though, and will aid to regulate the pace of games.

His grace, poise, and ball-handling ingenuity will offer United a center around which to develop and release pressure in the midfield. Since Michael Carrick, United has not had a player who consistently gave them that option.
