Raphinha move to Chelsea: Barcelona issue, bid 'approved,' price discovered, Arsenal'snub'

Chelsea transfer rumors: All the latest news and rumours linking Raphinha to a move to Stamford Bridge amid interest from Arsenal and Barcelona Thomas Tuchel's rebuild at Chelsea is well underway. While no new players have arrived at Stamford Bridge this summer, a number of squad members have already left, heralding the start of a new era under owner Todd Boehly.

According to the MailOnline, the new ownership group, who agreed to a £4.25 billion deal to buy the west London club last month, will 'push for A-list signings' to usher in a new era in west London. According to The Telegraph, Boehly is eager to bolster Tuchel's arsenal and get started right away After player sales, the club is expected to have £200 million available to spend on new players.

Some of it appears to be set aside to welcome Leeds United's Raphinha. So, with that in mind, football.london has looked into what's being said about the Brazil international in the media.

An agreement was reached.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have reached an agreement with Jesse Marsch's side to sign the winger this summer. The 25-year-old midfielder has been heavily linked with a move away from the Yorkshire club, with Arsenal and Barcelona also reportedly interested.

The Blues appear to be the first team to make a breakthrough in talks with Leeds. The Gunners are said to be the only other team to have tabled a bid so far, but their efforts have been futile after falling short of the valuation.

The Barcelona issue

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona contacted Leeds on June 29 with the intention of making a new bid following talks with agent Deco about a move. However, the verbal proposal does not match the reported £60 million offered by the Blues, with the Yorkshire club looking to maintain the current agreement.

Fee disclosed

According to The Athletic, Chelsea and Leeds are close to reaching an agreement for a fee in excess of £55 million for Raphinha, but the deal has yet to be finalized yet. According to the report, the west Londoners are now the club and player's long-term favorites. Barcelona cannot afford him at the current asking price, and Arsenal cannot either.

Contract acceptance

Raphinha has been tight-lipped about his future at Elland Road, claiming that it is entirely up to his agent Deco and the Yorkshire club. "I am under contract with Leeds until 2024." "Deco and Leeds have my future," he said while on international duty with Brazil.

"I'm focused on the national team, the game, and also my vacations." My agent is handling this issue for me because I have a contract with Leeds. He will notify you when there is something he will tell me."
