Chelsea has had many different players over the years, and the club has signed many forward players. According to statistics, approximately 16 players have worn the number 9 jersey in Chelsea, but only a few of them have performed admirably. Aside from those who wore the number 9, some players have played as Chelsea's striker/forward but have not lived up to their full potential.

As a result, we will see players in this category who played as Chelsea's forward but did not perform well. As a result, we will see eleven (11) players who have played for Chelsea over the years who fall into this category.

The following are the eleven (11) Chelsea players and the records they set:

Alexandre Pato is the first.

He only appeared in two games for Chelsea and scored one goal.

Higuain, Gonzalo

Despite being a highly rated player at Juventus, Higuain was unable to perform to his full potential at Chelsea. He played 19 games for Chelsea after signing, but only scored 5 goals before leaving the club.

Andriy Shevchenko is number three.

Shevchenko is arguably one of the best players of his generation, but he struggled when he joined Chelsea. He played 77 games for Chelsea and only managed to score 22 goals in that time.

Alvaro Morata (4)

Morata is another Chelsea player who has left the club early. He only played 72 games for Chelsea and scored 24 goals, but he was doing well at his previous club before joining Chelsea.

Radamel Falcao is ranked fifth.

Falcao is a phenomenal football player who has set numerous records during his career. However, he was unable to perform well in Chelsea. In only 12 games for Chelsea, he managed to score one goal.

Torres, Fernando

Torres, despite being one of the best players the world has ever seen, never lived up to his full potential while playing for Chelsea. He played 172 games for Chelsea but only scored 45 goals before leaving.

Romelu Lukaku (#7)

Lukaku joined Chelsea last season and has already left. Unlike when he played for Inter Milan, the Belgian striker was not at his best. He appeared in 59 games for Chelsea and scored 15 goals in that time.

He previously played for Chelsea from 2011 to 2014, but his total goals for the club are only 15.

Crespo, no. 8

Between 2003 and 2008, the striker played for Chelsea and scored only 25 goals for the club.

Mateja Kezman, 9th.

Kezman was only with Chelsea for a year and scored only seven goals before leaving.

Steve Sidwell is ten.

He appeared in 25 games for Chelsea, scoring one goal and providing one assist in that time.

Khalid Boulahrouz, 11

He played 23 games for Chelsea in his career, but he never scored a goal for the club before leaving.

All of these players were successful at their previous clubs before joining Chelsea, but they "switched off" once they arrived. These players eventually left Chelsea with no tangible track record.
