The Premier League commissioned a one-of-a-kind gold trophy to commemorate Arsenal's achievement of finishing a 38-match season unbeaten.

In football, The Invincibles refers to the Preston North End team managed by William Sudell in the 1888-89 season and the Arsenal team managed by Arsene Wenger in the 2003-04 season.

Preston North End earned the nickname after going undefeated in league and cup competition for 27 games, while Arsenal went undefeated in league and cup competition for 38 games, extending their unbeaten streak to a record 49 games.

The Preston team's official nickname was the Old Invincibles, but both versions have been used.

Arsenal defeated Manchester United in May 2002 to reclaim the Premier League and equal Preston's record of not losing an away match all season. In assessing the team's achievement, Tim Rich of The Independent wrote Invincibles, referring to the last team to go through a season unbeaten away from home, a term that belongs far more to the Arsenal team of 2002 than to the Preston team of 1888-89.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger wanted his team to compete for more titles and described Manchester United's defeat as a shift in power in English football.

After breaking the Premier League record of 30 consecutive unbeaten games, Arsenal lost to Everton in October 2002, with Wayne Rooney scoring the game-winning goal in the final minute, his first at senior level.

Arsenal won the Premier League without losing a single game in the 2003-04 season. Their league record was 26 wins, 12 draws, and 0 losses in 38 games.

It appears that Liverpool are still in the running to sign Raphinha, a reported Chelsea target.

Liverpool haven't been heavily linked with a move for Leeds United winger in a long time.

At the time, the focus was on Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and Chelsea potentially bringing the Brazilian international to London.

However, Sport claims that Jurgen Klopp's side are still in the running to sign the 25-year-old.

According to the report, the Reds' continued interest in Sadio Mane stems from his departure from Anfield.

According to Sport, Barcelona is the player's top priority, and he has specifically asked his agent, Deco, to'stop Chelsea's offensive.

Raphinha clearly has no desire to join Chelsea as long as Barcelona is in the hunt for the former Rennes attacker, for whom Leeds is asking around £65 million.

To be honest, it's not unthinkable for Liverpool to remain in the race.

Klopp has lost two wingers this summer, Mane and Takumi Minamino, and neither has replaced them.

Darwin Nunez is a wide player rather than a number nine, and Fabio Carvalho is an attacking midfielder.

Mane has been a monster for the German manager since his arrival in 2016, and Raphinha would be an ideal replacement.

The problem is that, aside from this renewed speculation, there isn't much speculation about Liverpool actively signing another winger at the moment.
