Egyptian Interrnational and Liverpool Forward Mohammed Salah has signed a three-year contract with Liverpool.
Liverpool forward and Egyptian star, Mohammed Salah has signed a three-year contract and will remain with the Anfield side.
The 30-year-old Egyptian star signed a deal worth €350,000 a week making him the highest earning player in the history of the club. Mohammed Salah only had a year left in his previous contract and rumours we're flying around of his exit from the club after his colleague African and forward, Sadio Mane departed to German Bundesliga side Bayern Munich for the next season.
Salah has scored one hundred and fifty-six goals in the two hundred and fifty-four appearances in all competitions during his five-year stay at the club. He moved from AS Roma in 2018.
He has won the Champions league, Premier league, FA Cup, FIFA club world cup and UEFA super cup since his four-year stay at the club. Salah has also won and shared three premier league golden boots and has been named the PFA player of the year twice at Anfield.
Reacting to the news, the manager of the club expressed excitement and optimism about the decision. "It is the best decision for us and the best decision for him. He belongs with us and I think, this is his club now, said Jurgen Klopp.
"This is a special treat for us. Supporters will enjoy their weekend even more. I'm sure there will be some celebrations for this news.
Mohammed Salah also expressed excitement and promised to win more trophies for the club.
"I feel great and I'm excited to win trophies with the club. It's a happy day for everyone. We are in a good position to fight for everything.
The 30-year-old forward in the 2021/2022 season won the FA cup and Carabao cup and was in the running for a quadruple until the final match of the season, falling behind Manchester City in the premier league and losing the Champions league final to Spanish La Liga side Real Madrid.
