According to reports, one of Cristiano Ronaldo's bodyguards got into an altercation at a Spanish airport that required police involvement and caused the footballer's £20 million private jet to be delayed for 30 minutes.
The Manchester United forward's manager reportedly became irate when told to wait after accidentally setting off an airport scanner with his splinted finger while passing through a VIP passenger check, according to Menorca's daily newspaper.
The bodyguard allegedly "raised his voice and gesticulated angrily" before passing through the airport security arch unchecked despite security workers warnings that they would call the police, according to the newspaper.
The bodyguard yelled that they could call whomever they wanted and that he had previously worked as a police officer in Portugal, according to Menorca's report. The problem was resolved by the police, and the jet took off at least 30 minutes later.
Despite not being identified, the bodyguard appeared to be one of the football player's two identical twin bodyguards based on the description provided by the local press.
Ronaldo was described as a bystander who appeared "serious" but was in no way connected to the incident. Ronaldo is scheduled to return to Manchester for preseason training on Monday. The 37-year-agent old's has been contacted for comment, although there is no evidence that the five-time Ballon d'Or winner acted improperly or wrongly.

It is said that Cristiano gave the order to other staff to stay at the scene while they continued their journey. Later, the severely damaged Bugatti was towed away by a tow truck.The owner of the home struck by Ronaldo's luxury automobile later claimed that Ronaldo had promised to cover the cost of the damage.
When the unnamed homeowner showed up at the striker's rented residence to try to speak with him, he disclosed that he had been promised compensation. He added that the collision had left him "shaking with panic" and that he worried his pet dog had been killed in the collision.
