“SALAH STAYS" - Mo Salah announced the latest three-year contract with Liverpool in fashion
Mohamed Salah has finally signed a new contract with Liverpool until 2025, ending a seemingly never-ending cycle of will he or won't he?
Salah had Liverpool fans pining for one thing: a new contract that would keep him at Anfield for the foreseeable future, and he delivered.
And it was confirmed flawlessly with all key parties involved, including Salah, his agent Ramy Abbas Issa, and Liverpool.
It all started with another cryptic tweet from Abbas, this time with a laughing emoji, which had fans rolling their eyes, and Liverpool's Twitter account then responded with a face slap emoji.
Then came the real treat: an epic video reminiscent of how his arrival at Anfield was first announced in 2017.
It depicts Salah lounging on his vacation, scrolling through tweets of fans discussing his contract on his phone, seemingly carefree.
In contrast to 'announce Salah,' it was demanding 'Salah stays,' which Mo delivered with a smile, renewing his contract for three years.
"I think it takes a little time to renew, but everything is done now, so we just need to focus on what's next," Salah told LFCTV.
"If I think back to when I first came here, the club wasn't winning many things, but I think I told you I came here to win trophies." I believe we've won some good trophies together since then! And I believe we can do it again." We won a lot of things together. "I have enjoyed my football here at the club and hopefully I will continue to enjoy it and win many trophies," he says.
Mo, we wish you the same! After the announcement, there was also a message for the fans, with Salah eager to do the talking on the field.
"My message [to the fans] is the team's players in the team want to give our best next season to try to win all the trophies,” he said.
“As usual, you stay behind us and give us a big push and I am sure we are going to win trophies again [together].”
