The transfer window in La Liga officially opens on July 1st, the first day of the 2022/23 season. Barcelona completed the sale of 10% of their television rights to Sixth Street yesterday, officially ending the season with profits of more than €250 million.
While they have made financial gains on paper, Barça are still unable to make large-money transfers. At the very least, before closing exits.
Barcelona has nearly 30 players in the squad for the upcoming season, including both senior team members and youth team members who are expected to participate with the senior team.
Franck Kessie and Andreas Christensen star.
Barça Universal walks you through each player's position in the team and where they stand right now.
List of transfers
NETO: Neto, Barcelona's second-choice goalkeeper, is currently on the verge of leaving the club. He has attempted to force his way out of the club on several occasions, but he may finally be leaving.
MINGUEZA, OSCAR: Mingueza has a plethora of suitors, with reports claiming that he has offers from Spain, Italy, and England. He is expected to make a decision about his future in the coming days.
CLEMENT LENGLET: Lenglet is on the verge of a loan move to Tottenham Hotspur, with Antonio Conte pushing for the move. The Spurs will pay the majority of his salary, and the deal is expected to include a purchase option.
SAMUEL UMTITI: Barcelona fans may see the last of Umtiti this summer, as he is on his way out. Rennes is said to be interested in his services, but any move at this time would be premature.
MIRALEM PJANIC: Pjanic recently returned from a loan spell with Besiktas, but he will not be returning to Barcelona. Both parties want to part ways, but a loan appears to be more likely than a permanent transfer.
RIQUI PUIG: The La Masia midfielder is finally ready to play Benfica and Celta Vigo are both interested in signing him away from the Camp Nou this summer.
FRENKIE DE JONG: Surprisingly, starboy de Jong makes this list simply because of his market value. Barcelona wants to make money by selling players, and he could leave for Manchester United for €65 + €20 million in the coming days.
REY MANAJ: Manaj returned from an unsuccessful loan spell this month, but Getafe and Watford are both interested in signing him.
FRANCISCO TRINCAO: Like Manaj, Trincao had a difficult loan spell at Wolverhampton Wanderers and now returns to Sporting CP's attention. However, the move is said to be complicated as it stands.
MARTIN BRAITHWAITE: Braithwaite only appeared in four games all season, Only 26 minutes were spent with Xavi. Despite the fact that he is not in the manager's plans for the coming season, the Dane is unwilling to leave until a club can match his current salary.
Celta Vigo and Valencia, on the other hand, are interested in loaning the player for a season.
On the fence about it
MEMPHIS DEPAY: Memphis' future at Barcelona is more dependent on others than on himself. If Robert Lewandowski joins the club, the Dutchman could be on his way out. If not, he may be granted a contract extension.
EZ ABDE: There is very little information available about Abde's situation. Xavi is said to be a fan of the player, but if Barcelona signs Raphinha, he will have no place in the team and renew Ousmane Dembele. Villarreal are prepared to make a €8 million bid for him.
Transfer objectives
ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI: Barcelona's main transfer target is Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski. His asking price is €50 million in fixed fees, and the Bavarians have already turned down three offers from Joan Laporta's camp.
JULES KOUNDE: Barcelona is interested in signing Jules Kounde to bolster their central defense alongside Ronald Araujo. The player is expected to cost more than €60 million and is also wanted by Chelsea.
BERNARDO SILVA: The most significant if of the three, Bernardo will only leave Manchester City if Barcelona can offload de Jong to United. Even so, the transfer will be difficult because the Portuguese midfielder is expected to cost nearly €100 million.
MARCOS ALONSO: Xavi wants to sign Chelsea left-back Alonso to add depth to the left-back position, but the move will be difficult. The Spaniard wants to return to La Liga, but the Blues will not make it easy because they could lose four defenders in one window.
CESAR AZPILICUETA: For the most part, Azpilicueta's move to Barcelona was thought to be straightforward, but after his automatic extension was triggered, it is anything but. He is Xavi's top priority for the right-back position, but he could now cost between €5 and €11 million.
Raphinha is a wanted man in one of the summer's biggest transfer market dramas. Chelsea and Leeds United have reached an agreement in principle to sell him for €70 million, but the player has refused to sell but The player wishes to relocate to Barcelona.
According to reports, the Catalans are ready to match Chelsea's offer, but it will take some time.
