Arsenal have confirmed the departure of four players whose contracts have expired, as a deadline has been set to complete the signings of Raphinha and Lisandro Martinez.
Four Arsenal players have left the club after their contracts with Mikel Arteta expired.
Arteta has been active in the transfer market this summer, following the arrivals of Sao Paulo wonderkid Marquinhos, American goalkeeper Matt Turner, and Portuguese playmaker Fabio Vieira, while Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus' move is set to be confirmed any day now. The club will also see several departures, with ALexandre Lacazette being the most high-profile name to leave so far this summer.
It comes at the same time as the Gunners have set a deadline for the signings of Leeds United winger Raphinha and Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez. Marseille responded to Arsenal's announcement of Matteo Guendouzi's departure with their own promotional stunt.

Four Arsenal players have left the club after their contracts expired.
The headline name in the quartet is forward Alexandre Lacazette, who has finally agreed to return to Lyon. Lacazette joined Arsenal from Ligue 1 in 2017 for £46.5 million, scoring 71 goals in 206 appearances.
Jonathan Dinzeyi, Joel Lopes, and Jordan McEneff have all left the club after failing to make the cut in senior football at the Emirates.
Raphinha and Martinez have a deadline.
Arsenal have reportedly set a deadline of this summer to complete the signings of Raphinha and Lisandro Martinez.
The Gunners have been linked with Leeds United winger Raphinha to compete with Bukayo Saka on the right wing next season, but appear to be trailing Barcelona and Chelsea in the race to sign him. They will also face competition for Ajax centre-back Martinez, whose former manager Erik ten Hag is keen to reunite with in his new role at Manchester United.
And the Gunners would like to complete the signings before departing for their pre-season tour of America on July 13.
Guendouzi's stunt in Marseille
Before Arsenal confirmed his summer transfer, Matteo Guendouzi appeared in a promotional kit video for new club Marseille.
The midfielder spent last season on loan at the Ligue 1 club, where he impressed enough to earn a permanent £9 million move. But, even before the official announcement, the Frenchman was already flaunting his new team's uniform.
