Manchester City Announces Special Presentation Event For FOUR New Signings
In a formal statement released on Saturday, Manchester City stated that they would be conducting a special presentation ceremony for supporters to welcome their new players to the team.
The Pep Guardiola team has been bolstered this summer by club officials in preparation for the upcoming campaign.
Manchester City, which has won four of the last five Premier League championships, including back-to-back triumphs in 2020–21 and 202–22, will be aiming to win the league for a third straight season.
The incomings at the Etihad Stadium have impressed spectators, despite the fact that outgoings have occasionally dominated headlines this summer.
Most recently, Manchester City confirmed the acquisition of goalkeeper Stefan Ortega, who will replace Brazilian international Ederson as the club's number two.
Erling Haaland made headlines in June when he moved to Manchester City for £51 million from Borussia Dortmund, defeating stiff competition from clubs like Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
Julian Alvarez, a talented young Argentine forward, was also signed by City back in January from River Plate. The 22-year-old is anticipated to play for Pep Guardiola's first team during the upcoming season.
Fans will have the chance to officially welcome all three new players to the club on Sunday, July 10 at a special presentation event, Manchester City has announced in a club statement today.
Players are anticipated to arrive at the stadium's West Reception around 2 PM. The event starts at 1 PM.
The club's full statement was as follows:
"A presentation event will be held on Sunday, July 10 so that Manchester City supporters may officially greet the Club's new acquisitions."
"Before joining the first team squad for preseason training, Stefan Ortega Moreno, Erling Haaland, and Julian Alvarez will be unveiled to fans for the first time at the Etihad Stadium's West Reception."
"The revealing event starts at 1pm, and players are expected to start arriving around 2pm."
While additional special guests and commentators are present to offer insight and commentary on our transfer industry, Danny Jackson and Natalie Pike, hosts of City Square, will grill the trio once they are on stage.
Additionally, there will be music and raffles with items like shirts autographed by each of our new members as well as the chance to get your hands on some City stuff.
Entry to this event is on a first-come, first-served basis and is free.
The response from Manchester City supporters has been encouraging, although naturally many have questioned why Kalvin Phillips was left out of the club's statement.
The £42 million transfer from Leeds United was finalized on Friday afternoon when the England midfielder underwent a physical with the team.
Phillips, however, has not been included in the club's statement because Manchester City has not yet made a formal announcement about him, despite the possibility that it may happen on Monday.
Having said that, it is understood that Kalvin Phillips will be the fourth signing announced to Manchester City fans on Sunday, July 10, at the Etihad Stadium.
