Previous Deputy Finance Minister Cassiel Ato Forson has invited the choice by the public authority to go to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for help.
He said he is happy about the choice however it took government excessively lengthy.
"I'm happy that at last, the NPP government has taken the choice to go to the IMF such that Ghana can get the program clearly to carry out, that will, in the long haul, achieve the monetary security that we need.
"I have consistently said that Ghana first. Initial a Ghanaian, and second a legislator. I need to repeat the way that this organization has tragically postponed excessively lengthy, it has taken them excessively lengthy to take an extremely basic choice and to endeavor to get the program," the Ajumako-Enyan-Esiam Constituency told TV3's Parliamentary journalist Komla Kluste in a meeting on Friday July 1.
President Nana Addo Dabkwa Akufo-Addo has trained Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta to start formal commitment with the IMF, welcoming the Fund to help programs set up by the Government.
This followed a phone discussion between the President and the IMF Managing Director, Miss Kristalina Georgieva, passing Ghana's choice on to draw in with the Fund.
The Ministry of Information reported this in a proclamation on Friday July 1.
