Chelsea's goals Neymar wants to stay at PSG, while Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave Manchester United, and both players are said to have made important decisions about their futures.
Chelsea supporters will start to become enthusiastic about the upcoming season again after the end of the previous one was shrouded in uncertainty.
Even though star defender Antonio Rudiger and other important players have already left the club under manager Thomas Tuchel's leadership, the cub seem determined to fill any voids in their roster with elite replacements.
Both Raheem Sterling and Raphinha are still mentioned in connection with transfers to Stamford Bridge that would bolster the ineffective attack from the previous campaign. While this is happening, other defenders have been suggested as potential targets to fill Rudiger's position.
Neymar invokes a contract provision.
Brazil forward Neymar is claimed to have invoked a clause in his contract that will keep him in the French capital until 2027, despite rumors linking him with a transfer away from Paris Saint-Germain.
The Brazilian was acquired by the Ligue 1 powerhouses in 2017 for a record-breaking transfer fee from Barcelona. While Neymar has shown flashes of brilliance while playing for PSG, he hasn't been able to help the team win the Champions League, joining Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe in the past.
This summer, rumors about PSG's readiness to sell Neymar have picked up steam, with Chelsea among the teams mentioned as potential buyers. The athlete, though, is alleged to have initiated an extension to the contract he signed last year.
PSG must be ready to enter a new era now that manager Mauricio Pochettino is departing the organization. Neymar is also drawing a sizable wage; in Paris, the Selecao superstar makes more than £600,000 each week.
Ronaldo desires to leave United
Several reports claim that United's star forward Cristiano Ronaldo has informed the team that he wants to leave this summer. Chelsea is one of the teams said to be interested in signing the striker.
Ronaldo was anticipated to remain at Old Trafford to assist new manager Erik ten Hag in ushering in a new era for the team, which was trying to bounce back from its worst-ever Premier League point total. The 37-year-old, though, is rumored to want to play Champions League football in his final years of competition.
Numerous teams have been linked to the veteran, and United are said to have been incensed by a meeting between new Chelsea owner Todd Boehly and Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes. The Blues are one of those teams.
Although it would be surprising if Ronaldo joined Chelsea, the team can provide the top-flight European football he obviously desires.

Boelhy finds inspiration in a transfer
There are obvious parallels to be drawn to a different window 19 years ago, when Roman Abramovich funded a massive shopping binge, with a handful of new players expected to enter this summer to overhaul Tuchel's Chelsea squad.
Todd Boehly, who bought the team from Abramovich this summer, is rumored to be taking a hands-on approach to signing players.
The first transfer window under Boehly's predecessor saw an enormous 11 additions, essentially overhauling the Chelsea roster and raising expectations at Stamford Bridge. 11 players, including Damien Duff, Juan Sebastian Veron, Hernan Crespo, and Claude Makelele, were purchased for a total of £112 million.
The Blues will undoubtedly spend more money than that during this window, but the personnel changes might be comparable to that incredible preseason in 2003.
