Richarlison should not have been acquired from Everton during the summer transfer window, according to Paul Merson's article in The Daily Star for Tottenham Hotspur under Antonio Conte.
The former Arsenal player has explained why Richarlison is not a good addition for Tottenham in his opinion.
The Sports news analyst claimed that the forward from Brazil sometimes goes missing and won't be a starter for Conte's club.
This week, Tottenham made the announcement that Richarlison had been acquired from Everton.

The 25-year-old has signed a contract with Tottenham that is valid through 2027.
Richarlison was acquired by Spurs for an initial £50 million with an additional £10 million in add-ons.
Paul Merson on Richarlison, a recent addition to Tottenham
Richarlison was not the ideal signing for Tottenham, according to Merson, who also stated in The Daily Star that Steven Bergwijn would be a huge success for Everton. Why Spurs are after Richarlison is beyond me.
I'm not the biggest fan of his. He certainly has his moments, but he also occasionally disappears. He also wastes a lot of opportunities, has a poor goal scoring record, and I don't understand how he contributes to Tottenham.
He does not enter before Harry Kane. Heung-min Son is not allowed to enter before him. And last year, Dejan Kulusevski was among their top performers.
"I understand that you need a squad, but Richarlison will demand a weekly playing role. I find it surprising that they are pursuing him.
a good acquisition for Spurs
Richarlison is a terrific addition for Tottenham Hotspur, in our opinion.
Yes, spending £50 million on a forward who isn't guaranteed a spot in the starting lineup is expensive, but the Brazilian is still only 25 years old and has the versatility to play in several different attacking positions.
Richarlison also has a lot of Premier League experience.
True, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min are currently scoring goals for fun, but they require assistance and support, particularly during a season in which Tottenham will compete in the UEFA Champions League.
