Joan Laporta is certain that he will once again lead Barcelona to a LaLiga Santander title.

He will provide Xavi Hernandez with a competitive squad for the 2022/23 season that will compete for the titles on offer, thanks to the deals he hopes to close within the next two to three weeks.

The coach wants impact signings, and he will have them - he will have 200 million euros at his disposal.

But the signings he wants to make will take a little more time, especially Robert Lewandowski, who is a priority target and the first to be given the money.

Once the numbers for the 2021/22 season have been saved with the 25-year transfer of 10% of the TV rights to Sixth Street for 207.5 million euros, the board is certain to close the sale of the remaining 15% within 15 to 20 days, bringing in 400 million euros, 200 of which will go directly to squad reinforcements.

Xavi will be able to sign the players he desires.

Attack

Lewandowski will be the main signing. The Pole is at odds with Bayern Munich, where he has only one year left on his contract, and is only considering a move to Camp Nou.

Laporta has assured him that his transfer to Barcelona will be approved. The Bavarian club believes he is worth around 50 million euros.

The coach's priority is to reinforce the attack. He wants more goals, which Lewandowski has.

Xavi, on the other hand, wants to make better use of the play on the wings. The future of Ousmane Dembele remains uncertain, but the club is confident of keeping him this weekend and plans to play him alongside Raphinha.

Leeds have set a fee of around 60 million euros for the Brazilian international, who is also wanted by Chelsea and Arsenal.

Defence

Xavi is concerned about more than just his attack. He also wants changes in defense in order to compete for the titles that Laporta desires.

In addition to Andreas Christensen, whose signing is expected to be finalized in the coming days, he is looking to sign Sevilla's Jules Kounde for around 65 million euros.

Barcelona is also considering signing Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta in defense, but their arrivals would be much more affordable.

Midfield

Franck Kessie, like Christensen, is waiting to be announced as a new Barcelona signing. He, too, will arrive at Camp Nou on a free transfer, like the Dane. However, he may not be the only midfield reinforcement.

Xavi is a big fan of Bernardo Silva. The issue is his price, which Manchester City has set at 100 million euros. And, for the time being, Laporta lacks the financial resources to deal with this addition as well.

His arrival would be possible if Frenkie de Jong's transfer to Manchester United is completed.
