Chief General of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Prof Peter Twumasi is requesting ¢4,000,000 in punitive fees in a criticism suit recorded against two staff of NSA.
A writ located by LUV Sports uncovers the offended party, Prof Peter Twumasi, is guaranteeing seven separate reliefs after two staff of the Authority marked a request to the NSA Board Chairman, asking the NSA supervisor to move to one side for examinations concerning his lead as Director-General.
In a seven-paged record dated twentieth June 2022 named; "Request against the Director General of the National Sports Authority, Prof. Peter Twumasi to move to one side for careful examination", two staff of the power, Kwame Baa Mensa and Edmond Appiah who marked a request that blamed Prof Twumasi for unfortunate initiative, abuse of state assets, receipt of twofold pay rates, obtainment breaks, irreconcilable circumstance in the honor of agreements, maltreatment of office and grant of agreements to phantom and non-existing organizations.
Yet, Prof. Twumasi considers the distribution of the appeal as malignant and careless endeavor to soil his standing. He consequently documented a suit at an Accra High court on Thursday, June 30, 2022 requesting various reliefs including an amount of GHS 4,000,000 in penalties.
The offended party claims against the respondents, mutually and severally as follows;
1. Harms in the amount of Four Million Ghana Cedis (GHS 4,000,000) for the abusive assertions carelessly and malignantly distributed by the respondents in the letter dated twentieth June 2022.
2. Disturbed harms for the foolish and malignant distribution of the said letter.
3. Model harms for the foolish and vindictive distribution of the said letter.
4. Compensatory harms for the wild and vindictive distribution of the said letter.
5. A withdrawal and inadequate conciliatory sentiment by the litigants with a similar conspicuousness and dissemination as the distribution of the said letter.
6. A request for never-ending order limiting the respondents, their representatives, relegates, workers, directors, workers, doles out, partners or anybody asserting through or under them or upon their guidelines, headings or backing from additional distribution of any further misleading, overly critical, vilifying or potentially disparaging charges as well as material against the offended party.
7. Installment of all costs and expenses related with and brought about by the offended party in this suit including legal advisor's charges.
