Dr Ibn Chambas pulls out as ECOWAS agent to Guinea

Exceptional Envoy of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) to Guinea, Dr Mohamed Ibn Chambas, has imparted his expectation to pull out as a middle person toward the West African State.

Guinea, whose junta has rejected an ECOWAS go between, declared a three year progress period and has molded any exchange towards an effective exchange of capacity to an intrinsically perceived head of state on the arrangement of another ECOWAS middle person.

Addressing columnists on the 61st Ordinary Session of the Authority of Ecowas Heads of State and Government on Sunday, July 3 in Accra, Dr Ibn Chambas said his choice to step down is to clear way for an effective exchange to occur for Guinea to get back to sacred vote based rule.

"In Guinea, the momentary specialists keep on demanding that there is no political emergency, yet it is clear that once a military has toppled a regular citizen government, there is clearly a political emergency in the country. This reason is the very thing that the Guinean specialists have used to decline to acknowledge an ECOWAS agent in the country in the individual of myself.

"As of now, I accept that I ought not be the hindrance to discourse among ECOWAS and Guinea. To work with positive progress on this issue, I have chosen to pull out myself as the emissary of ECOWAS to Guinea to permit the power to concoct different names," Dr Ibn Chambas said.

Dr Ibn Chambas was selected in November, 2021 as Special Envoy to Guinea to reinforce exchange with the Guinean military authority towards the effective and short momentary cycle.
