Young Liverpool player Owen Beck is a target for Famalicao of Portugal.
The 19-year-old left-back is highly regarded by the Reds, and numerous Liverpool hierarchy members believe he will eventually start for the six-time European winners.
The Sun reports that Famalicao may beat "many League One clubs" to the loan signing of the Wales youth international since he is not yet ready.
With four years remaining on his current contract at Anfield, Beck, who made 20 Premier League 2 appearances last season and is now pursuing first team action, sees the opportunity to play abroad as a benefit.
He joined the Reds at the U13 level from Stoke City and was born in Wrexham.
He has already played for Liverpool's first team twice, substituting in victories over Preston and Leicester in the Carabao Cup as Liverpool claimed a domestic double.
Additionally, he didn't employ a substitute in three Premier League games.
In Liverpool's youth team last season, he scored one goal and provided three assists. He also played a key role in the young Reds' run to the UEFA Youth League quarterfinals, making six appearances.
Additionally, he was a member of Jurgen Klopp's 34-man training group for an Austrian preseason camp.
The 19-year-old described fellow Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson as "the best left-back in the world at the moment" in a recent interview with the club's official website, despite being somewhat lower on the hierarchy than his rival.
He said, "I watch him and try to pick elements of his game I can try to add to mine."
Beck responded, "It really inspires us to push even harder," when asked about players like Trent Alexander-Arnold succeeding after leaving the program.
Leighton Clarkson, Sepp van den Berg, and Rhys Williams, three other Liverpool youths, have also been linked to additional loan stints.
