Ghanaian showbiz pundit and artiste manager, Emmanuel Barnes, popularly recounted as “Mr Logic”, says many artistes dislike being part of awards schemes because of the reality they enjoy exploited.
According to the outspoken leisure pundit, many artistes enjoy they may be now now no longer quite treated in terms of worthwhile their hard artwork withinside the twelve months of review.
In an interview with GNA Entertainment on the sidelines of the 2022 Ghana Party withinside the Park launch in Accra, Mr. Logic described that the issue of unfairness among many Ghanaian artistes have become a quit end result of the academy board members' now now no longer understanding what it takes to categorise songs.
He stated that artistes represented the middle products of awards schemes and must be treated quite and now now no longer enjoy exploited via the award institutions.
"Many artistes enjoy they may be now now no longer treated quite in terms of recognising their efforts. They have the right to enjoy that way because of the reality they may be the products that the ones institutions parasite on.
"So, award institutions are to do more justice to the artistes than the artistes do to them. That is one of the reasons why the artistes are shying farfar from the awards because of the reality they enjoy they may be being exploited.
He, but, stated that awards play a important feature withinside the increase of an artiste, having said that they really want them, especially in worthwhile their hard artwork.
"Most artistes say that they do now no longer care about awards, but you need them. After hard artwork, you need to be rewarded, so I count on it makes experience that your excellence is rewarded and now now no longer your popularity.
"So, I count on every artiste must motive to be offered somehow, but it need to now no longer be the primary target, but it's miles very critical to have awards schemes in our industry," he said.
