Ghanaian gospel singer, Obaapa Christy's ex-husband, Pastor Love Hammond, a songwriter and talented manager, has lamented his ex-wife's refusal to see his children.
Pastor Love said she last saw their last child in 2010, who is 12 years old at the age of two, but is now 14 years old.
“The children are grown up now. More or less, I was denied access to children. I do not want to continue this issue because in our area if you follow some of these stories to the end, the result could be disastrous.
“I let it slip, and I'm fine. I am not the first person to go through that. I am not the only person and I will not be the only person who has passed and will pass. Some women in our community, if you are no longer with them, that is what they will do to you, ”she laments.
Speaking on the phone to Anigye MMere on Accra's Onua FM radio station in Accra, which was closely monitored by Moderghana News, the man said he did not want to continue with the matter as the results could be disastrous.
As a result, he has expressed his approval of the situation because he believes that children will come to see him in the future in God's due time.
“My last child was two years old when he was taken to Germany. She is now 14 years old. I have never seen him since. I leave everything in God's hands. I will not fight them because if I do so the Ghanaians will support him with a malicious intent.
“The kids know me inside. Next time they will come looking for their father. You may not know it. I wouldn’t allow things like this slide, but I don’t anymore. By the grace of God, the people around me have helped me to change for the better, ”she concluded.
Obaapa Christy, the daughter of Christina Adwoa Twene and her ex-husband, Pastor Love Hammond, officially divorced a few years ago, although her husband was the subject of many of her hit songs.
She married her current husband, Nana Yaw Frankie, about ten (10) years ago.
