We may have lost andalusia. But we have all it takes to build even greater empires. Question is: are we ready?
This is where we draw curtains on andalusia. I entreat us all to read more about our beautiful history as there are wonderful lessons to be learned from them.
May Allah grant us deeper understanding, and make us all part of efforts aimed at bringing back the glories of islam.
In Sha Allah.
The biggest problem we have today as Muslims is the fear of taking up leadership.
Sometimes I am tempted to believe that there are think tanks who knew everything about our past and will do everything possible to block us from rising again. To realize this agenda, they use our own scripture and interprate it to us according to their motive.
For example, the Hadith of Abdurrahman Ibn Samurah
(????: ?? ???? ???????)
Even though, I do not doubt the authenticity of this Hadith, but did we as Muslims try to run our own appropriate commentary on it or we just took the overt meaning and sat aloof?
……..
Question is: How do we change the direction of the world when someone else is on the steering wheel? It only becomes easier when we take charge of the steer.
As Imam Dawud rightly mentioned: Andalusia has bequeathed the world with so much civilization that it has remain the single most viable source of civilization till date. It should not be odd for us to reclaim our own legacy.
Let there be among us scientists, architects, political scientists, etc. All these are our handicrafts from the past and we can best use our own tools for effective production.
When you learn, you lead others aright and save them from captivity. But you don’t just learn anything, you seek beneficial knowledge and wisdom from the right sources with the proper ethics. Look for the write up on ethics of seeking knowledge. And as usual, when you sleep over the bed of heedlessness in your youth, then be sure to tread on the path of regret during old age. Let me hasten to reiterate that seeking knowledge frees you from the captivity and prison of ignorance and darkness. So my good friends, brothers and sisters in Islam, seek beneficial knowledge and wisdom with the correct ethics, aiming to benefit society with the knowledge and hoping for reward from the Almighty Allah. Laziness is very attractive to ignorance, so wherever there is laziness in the quest for knowledge, be certain to find ignorance married happily to Mr. laziness, making a perfect couple with darkness as their residence. Corrections, criticisms and the like are welcome as usual. They keep me on my toes and on the look out for much information. Since information is key in this day and age.
