A High Court in Accra has ordered those suspected of being involved in Major Maxwell Mahama's murder to file their defense.

This comes after the court dismissed an application for no case filed by lawyers for the 14 accused, including Denkyira Obuasi assemblyman William Baah.

According to the suspects' lawyers, the prosecution has failed to make a compelling case against their clients, according to citinewsroom.com.

They also stated that the prosecution's case failed to implicate any of the suspects, implying that they must be released.

However, one of the case's presiding judges, Justice of the Supreme Court Her Lordship Mariama Owusu, rejected the defense's submission.

She stated that the prosecution presented a strong case against the suspects on the charges of causing intentional harm to and murdering Major Maxwell Mahama.

As a result, Her Lordship Owusu overruled the accused persons' lawyers' submission of no case and ordered them to file their defense.
