Cristiano Ronaldo wants 3-4 major additions for Man United ASAP amid Chelsea transfer talks
Following discussions with Chelsea on a prospective move, Fabrizio Romano has provided CaughtOffside with some rare insight into Cristiano Ronaldo's future at Manchester United.
Currently making all the news, Ronaldo has stated that he wants to see more ambition from Manchester United in the upcoming summer transfer window, according to Romano.
After such a disappointing season the previous year, the Red Devils have not had the best summer to date. Ronaldo is eager to see three or four top signings arrive after seeing how Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal, and Tottenham have improved thus far.
Romano does, however, add that Chelsea's interest may not be all that strong just now.
In his upcoming CaughtOffside piece, Romano says that Cristiano Ronaldo wants to see greater ambition from Manchester United.
Ronaldo, Cristiano 7
"He didn't disclose particular signing names, but he believes that Man United need at least three to four key players as quickly as possible after Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Tottenham were all strengthened with top-tier players.
"Ronaldo respects Ten Hag, but he thinks the team's caliber is the issue,"
How likely is a Cristiano Ronaldo transfer to Chelsea?
Romano acknowledges that there has been some contact, but it appears that Raheem Sterling is currently the Blues' first objective.
According to Romano, Chelsea has only learned about this prospect through direct contact between Jorge Mendes and Todd Boehly because they are now preoccupied with Raheem Sterling and other matters.
Ronaldo playing for one of United's rivals would be a massive blow to United supporters, but it doesn't seem like there is much of a chance of that happening right now.
Although Chelsea could do well to make more than one signing in that area of the field after loaning out Romelu Lukaku and with players like Timo Werner, Christian Pulisic, and Hakim Ziyech also struggling at Stamford Bridge, there is no doubt that Chelsea will feel that Sterling would be the better long-term option to come in up front.

Liverpool's Mohamed Salah U-turn suggests lesson learned from Sadio Mane departure
Nevertheless, something in Merseyside seems to have changed Salah's mind after lengthy negotiations that frequently ended in conflict. Of course, it's possible that Mane's departure has reduced spending on salaries, but it's also possible that it signals a shift in Liverpool's culture. The Reds will need to make every effort to compete financially if they are to maintain their position alongside Manchester City at the top of the footballing food chain. Giving one of the top players in the world of football a huge contract is therefore undoubtedly a step in the right direction on that front and may cause the club to adjust its strategy significantly.
It may have taken the departure of one of the club's key players, who has been instrumental in their comeback under Klopp, for Anfield to see what was going on.
