It’s not secret that Milan are trying to strengthen their attack and one of the top names on the notebook of Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara is that of the 21-year-old Charles De Ketelaere. The Belgian sensation is also followed by Leeds from the Premier League, but Milan are trying to strike a deal to bring CDK. As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Italia, the Rossoneri have made their first bid for De Ketelaere: €20 million plus bonuses. However, it’s not close to what Club Brugge demand for their attacking prospect (believed to be around €35m according to earlier reports). It’s now up to Milan to bridge the gaps and find an agreement. De Ketelaere is primarily an attacking midfielder, but he can slot in other places in the trequartisti line of Stefano Pioli since he’s capable of also playing as a central forward and as a right winger. Despite being just 21, CDK has 78 appearances in the Jupiler Pro League, scoring 18 goals and assisting 12. In addition, he has 16 Champions League games to his name, with 2 goals and 3 assists. It now remains to be seen what tactic Milan will take in the negotiations: whether they’ll stick to their offer or come closer to the evaluation of Club Brugge.
