Accra Hearts of Oak Forward, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh Explains Why He Always Score Against Asante Kotoko.
Accra based Hearts of Oak forward, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has opened up on why he always truimph in matches of the Ghana premier league and other competitions that features Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Speaking to Asempa FM sports, the forward claimed that no defender of the Kumasi based porcupine warriors has ever given him a difficult run on the pitch.
"No Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender has ever given me a difficult time in a game, I always score them whenever we clash".
Daniel Barnieh however named the defender that gave him a tough time in the 2021/2022 season of the Ghana premier league. "Vincent Atinga was the toughest defender I met in the 2022/2023 season.
The Presidential and MTN FA cup winner also indicated that he enjoys playing against the defenders of the porcupine warriors.
Hearts of Oak managed the sixth position in the 2021/2022 Ghana premier league season after an impressive win of the league title the previous season. However, the Samuel Boadu's side managed to win the President cup by scoring Kumasi Asante Kotoko and the MTN FA cup by beating Bechem Chelsea at the Baba Yara Sports stadium.
Daniel Afriyie Barnieh named three top strikers he looks up to in his football career. Ghana's all-time top scorer, Asamoah Gyan, former Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero and Cameroon Football Association Boss, Samuel Etoo made the cut as his three all-time football top strikers he looks up to.
"Asamoah Gyan, Sergio Aguero and Samuel Etoo are my top strikers", he said.
In other news, the Ghana Football Association has released the time table for the 2022/2023 season. The association has also charged all club adminstrators and players to register for the season with the Ghana Card.
