Past Finance Minister, Seth Terkper has said government can win concerning wheeling and dealing for a respectable program with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) if it study a piece of its social intervention projects, for instance, the free SHS.

He saw that the free SHS technique in its continuous construction wouldn't be charming to the IMF.

Chatting on the Accra-based Joy FM Super Morning Show on Monday, July 4, 2022, saw by Modernghana News, Mr. Terkper zeroed in on that the commitment levels under this organization is particularly high to the extent that Ghana is as of now getting to help the interest of as of now obtained ones.

According to him, past President John Mahama investigated the 200 E-block project and lessen the number to 150 schools before interfacing with the IMF.

"We were in the Fund [IMF] when crude petrol costs fell in 2015/2016. [Then,] our lead program was the E-schools. We at first communicated that we wanted to foster 200 schools. However, when reality hit, President Mahama showed that we wouldn't have the choice to complete all the 200, we could have the choice to do 150 and even with that, we collapsed it into 2017 and 2018. We had the choice to work around 70 when we were leaving office," he communicated.
