Sarkodie, a well-known Ghanaian rapper, plans to release a song critical of Nana Addo and his group.
Michael Owusu Addo (born July 10, 1988) known professionally as Sarkodie (/s??r?k??di?/), is a Ghanaian rapper, songwriter and entrepreneur from Tema. His contributions to the Ghanaian music industry have earned him numerous accolades, including the Vodafone Ghana Music Award for "Artiste of the Decade".
At the 2019 BET Hip Hop Awards, he was declared the inaugural winner of BET's Best International Flow Artist category. He is also regarded as one of the leading exponents of the Azonto music and dance, as well as one of the greatest African rappers ever.
Sarkodie was one of the musicians in Ghana who promoted the ruling party both before and after the 2020 elections. After many people realized Sarkodie's song "Happy Day," which features Kuami Eugene, was an oblique campaign song for the NPP, it received a lot of negative feedback.
Sarkodie has faced jeers and criticism ever since the day he launched the song "Happy day." Following the economic crisis, many individuals have recently urged the artist to criticize the government.
According to leaked audio that has circulated on social media, the rapper was speaking about the economy and how the government was failing.
Sarkodie discussed political vigilantism, the "no employment syndrome" in the country, bad politicians who were pulling the economy down with their lavish spending, and other topics in the song. Additionally, he complimented Dr. Kwame Nkruma and said that his passing was a great loss to the nation because most of his successors had taken the nation backward.

An snippet of a song written to criticize the failing New Patriotic Party that was released features the rapper from Tema.
Sarkodie, who has been quiet for some time, made the decision to enter the recording studio and do what he does best—speak for the people through song—after repeatedly coming under fire from NDC supporters for acting as though he was unaware of the hardships Ghanaians are facing.
