WE KNEW HE WAS A PLAYER" - DARWIN NUNEZ'S FORMER COACH

Lachlan Ballingall

Marco Pimenta has given his decision on Liverpool new-kid Darwin Nunez.

The Reds marked the striker from Benfica for an exchange charge of £67.50 million this late spring. Nunez shows up at Anfield with a major standing.

The 23-year-old scored 34 objectives in 41 appearances for Benfica. As per Pimenta, who is one of Nunez's previous mentors, the Reds have marked a victor.

"At the point when I was welcome to work in the specialized group of Head Coach Nélson Veríssimo in the principal group of Sport Lisboa e Benfica, we definitely knew Darwin," he told the Empire of the Kop.

"We realized he was a player with incredible actual capacity, tall, solid, quick and with a huge ability to score objectives.

"Starting from the principal day we could see that we were managing an alternate player with a will to continuously need more.

"The principal season was a chance to adjust to an alternate football and social setting in Portugal.

"The subsequent season was a chance to champion himself and put all his quality on the pitch. Also, for that his will to improve and develop was conclusive.

"Here and there the field, director Nélson Veríssimo and his specialized group attempt to foster every one of his characteristics in the various regions strategic, specialized and physical.

"Be that as it may, everything is predominantly because of Darwin and his ability to work and his triumphant mindset."

As we have previously brought up, Nunez is a generally excellent player. However, it's splendid to hear that he has a wonderful disposition.

By the day's end, you need players that will battle for all that out on the pitch addressing your club.

Going by Pimenta's remarks, Nunez will do precisely that. Ideally the striker can score a couple of objectives during the pre-season.

Finding the rear of the net gives advances certainty, which is the reason we believe Nunez should have a strong pre-season in front of the 2022-23 Premier League crusade.
