Memphis Depay next club odds: Tottenham lead race for Barcelona forward ahead of Arsenal, Everton and Newcastle
TOTTENHAM are the current favourites to sign Memphis Depay of Barcelona. The Netherlands striker is priced at 6/1 by Sky Bet to sign for the North London club before the transfer window shuts in September. 1 Memphis Depay could be on his way to Tottenham this summer.Credit: getty SKY BET - GET £30 FREE BETS* The 28-year-old has just a year left on his contract at the Nou Camp, so the Spanish side could be willing to sell him for a fee this summer before his contract runs out. The Dutchman joined the Spanish giants from Lyon on a free transfer just last summer, scoring 13 times in 37 appearances last season, of which just 21 were starts. The arrival of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in January and the increasingly likely signing of Robert Lewandowski this window may mean that Depay will find minutes hard to come by next season. Tottenham have recently secured the £52m signing of versatile forward Richarlison from Everton, but it seems Antonio Conte may still be interested in strengthening the depth of his squad by signing Depay. The former Manchester United man can play anywhere across the front line, and with Spurs playing Champions League football next season, Conte will want a deep squad that will be enable them to challenge in the deep end of tournaments. Nketiah has since signed a new deal and the Gunners have gone on to sign Gabriel Jesus and Fabio Vieira, so have bulked up their attack in preparation for the return of European football to the Emirates Stadium.
