The Volta Regional Hospital in Hohoe has received medical equipment and accessories from THE Bank of Ghana Ladies Association (BoGLadies) to improve the delivery of high-quality healthcare services in the area and beyond.

The supplies came with a brand-new Mindray DC 30 ultrasound, a scanner, bedsheets with the BoG logo, printing materials, gels, and patient monitors.

At a brief ceremony in Hohoe, they were handed over by the president of BoGLadies, Ivy Adjimah, on behalf of the organisation to Charles Torkornoo, head of administration of the Volta Regional Hospital, on behalf of the hospital.

Along with other organisation officials, the President was joined by the secretary, Josephine Ofori-Teiko.

Appeal

After the event, Ms. Adjimah stated that the act was in response to a request made to the association to provide the hospital with an ultrasound scanner.

Given that the equipment was a requirement for saving lives and called for an immediate solution, she described the request as heartfelt.

According to her, the machine's ultrasonic scanner is a crucial component since it aids in diagnosing.

She said that its absence indicated a clinical shortcoming that would affect the provision of healthcare.

We are really happy to have been able to fulfil our promise by giving the municipal hospital a new Mindray DC 30 Ultrasound Scanner for its healthcare delivery services. Sincerely, I must admit that.

"The gadget may be utilised for Elastrography scans and Doppler scans in addition to obstetrics and gynaecological ultrasound scans.

The President said that it might be used to inspect the heart and adjacent blood arteries.

Records

The patient monitor, according to Ms. Adjimah, also gauges, stores, transmits, and displays physiological readings including heart rates, SP02, blood pressure, temperature, and more.

As one of the goals of our philanthropic organisation is to spread the tentacles of our beneficent activities outside the Greater Accra Region, she stated, "It may interest you to know that our capacity to reach out to another region within this country provides us considerable happiness.

The hospital's administration was urged by the president of the BoGLadies to take excellent care of the donated products and display a high degree of maintenance culture so that it can assist more people in the area and beyond.

Appreciation

Ms. Adjimah expressed appreciation to Dr. Ernest Addison, the Governor of the BoG, and his deputies as well as to all the women who make up the BoGLadies for their enthusiasm and eagerness in accepting and approving the charitable initiative and for subsequently contributing their share to making it a reality.
