Piers Morgan gives hilarious response after Ribery claims he and Robben were better than Ronaldo and Messi

Franck Ribery's previous remarks on surpassing Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo over his career were delightfully mocked by PIERS MORGAN.

In them, Ribery asserted that he and his former teammate Arjen Robben had previously outperformed Messi and Ronaldo.

"I personally believe that myself and Robben were better than Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi at some point," he remarked.

However, because they participated in El Clasico, the crowd paid closer attention to them as a result.

Bayern's 2013 Champions League victory, which the team also won a fantastic treble, was made possible in large part by Ribery and Arjen Robben.

In the championship game against Borussia Dortmund, Robben scored the game-winning goal, finishing an outstanding campaign for the Bundesliga champions.

In addition, Ribery's outstanding performance on the other wing helped him finish third in the Ballon d'Or that year, behind Ronaldo and Messi.

But with Barcelona, Messi scored 60 goals in 50 games during that same season.

In contrast, Ronaldo scored 55 goals in 55 games for Real Madrid.

Morgan, a Sun columnist, also criticized Ribery's social media comments.

He stated: "Right. Although I consider myself to be a bigger movie star than Tom Cruise, the fact that he works in Hollywood works in his favor because more people see him on screen."

In 425 games with Bayern, Ribery scored 124 goals and contributed 175 assists during his 12-year stay, which ended in 2019.

He left behind nine Bundesliga championships, six DFB Pokals, four Super Cups, the Champions League, and the Club World Cup for the German powerhouses.

Prior to joining Salernitana last season as the Serie A team narrowly averted relegation from the top division, he spent two years with Fiorentina.
