The Minority in Parliament has approached government to guarantee that the requests of the striking educators are met or it makes sure that the Ghana Education Service (GES) closes down all pre-colleges in the country.
On Monday, July 4, 2022, four educator associations including the National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT), the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), the Coalition of Concerned Teachers (CCT), and the Teachers and Educational Workers Union (TEWU) pronounced an endless strike over the public authority's inability to pay Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) to individuals.
Thus, there was no educating and learning in pre-tertiary state funded schools all through the nation starting today.
Addressing columnists in Parliament in the early evening, Builsa South Member of Parliament (MP) Clement Apaak requested for the benefit of the Minority that administration quickly address the requirements of the striking educators.
