A PREMIER League international footballer who was initially detained on suspicion of assault has been apprehended again for two more assaults on a different woman.
He was arrested on Monday
Six squad cars descended on a gated North London property yesterday, arresting the player, who is in his late 20s and scheduled to play at the World Cup in Qatar in November.
The football player, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was indeed detained and subsequently released on bail until August, according to Scotland Yard.
When two further allegations regarding an alleged assault that allegedly happened last month while on vacation in the Mediterranean became apparent, he was subjected to a minimum of 15 hours of testing.
According to police, the man was also apprehended on suspicion of two assaults against a different woman in 2021.
A spokesperson of the Metropolitan Police stated: "On July 4, a charge of assault against a woman in her 20s was reported to police.
It was verified that the alleged attack took place in June 2022. On July 4, a man was arrested after being suspected of assault.
He was also apprehended while under guardianship on suspicion of two assaults that were allegedly conducted against a different woman in her 20s in April and June of 2021.
As a result, he has been released on bail for an August date.
"Enquiries into the circumstances are moving forward."
The main woman, who was in her 20s, said that a month earlier, she had been attacked during a break in the day.
The alleged victim left her five-star resort and took a flight back to her family.
She spoke with police about her return to the UK, and on Sunday night she visited a police station to explain herself fully.
She displayed images to analysts that she said indicated swelling on her body following the alleged assault.
After the incident, there was a considerable police presence at the celebrity's mansion just hours before he was handcuffed.
Footballers as a whole were expected to be appalled by the cases, which exposed WhatsApp groups among Premier League stars.
The club chose not to comment.
Whether the superstar will currently participate in his team's preseason lineup is unclear.
