PLAYERS WITH THE BIGGEST RELEASE CLAUSES IN FOOTBALL

Football teams will effectively hang onto their valuable possessions today.

They then give their stars enormous agreements with substantial delivery statements incorporated into them in order to deter any potential buyers or even obtain a massive exchange fee.

Who might be the most expensive, in any case?

It most definitely isn't Andreas Christensen, the new boy from Barcelona, who had a staggering £430 million discharge clause added to that contract. He doesn't really stand out among the top five!

1. Ansu Fati, £846 million, Barcelona

Fati, the crown jewel of Barcelona's La Masia organization, agreed to a massive six-year contract in 2021.

He became the second player at the club, after Pedri, to have an oddly inflated price tag placed on his head.

But since since he got Lionel Messi's No. 10 jersey, he has fought to recover from his wounds.
He is regarded as very probably the best young player on the planet and is 19 years old.

2. Barcelona's Pedri, £846 million

What lies ahead is fantastic for Barcelona, who recently signed high school genius Gavi with an £86 million discharge clause in his contract.

Prior to that, Pedri signed a remarkable contract last year, when he was just 18 years old, keeping him with the club through the year 2026. That is, until someone needs to pay £846,000,000 to acquire him.

Given that he earns a detailed £38,000 a week, one could conclude that Barcelona is winning the battle of player versus club.

3. Karim Benzema, £846 million, Real Madrid

Benzema, arguably the best player on the earth right now, signed a new contract with Real Madrid in 2021, keeping him at the Bernabeu until 2023, when he would turn 35.

In any case, if he continues to score at his current rate of 44 goals per season in a Double-winning effort, that will undoubtedly increase in the future.

Will it outweigh the £846 million in current delivery costs? Avoid placing bets against it.

4. Ronald Araujo, £846 million, Barcelona

Before he finally penned another agreement with the Catalans in late spring, 23-year-old Uruguayan defender Araujo's fate could not be predicted.

Amazingly, they wanted an £846 million discharge statement that prevented parties who were directly engaged, such Liverpool, Manchester City, and Manchester United.

"Ronald Araujo and FC Barcelona have agreed to extend their contract until June 30, 2026. The buyout provision is established at €1 billion "the club was exposed.

5. David Alaba, £726 million, Real Madrid

Alaba, 30, was taken in 2021 by the Spanish champions as a free agent, earning him a five-year deal for almost £17 million annually.

They immediately protected their bet by including a £726 million clause in the agreement, which doesn't expire until 2026.

Alaba had previously enjoyed a successful debut season with Bayern Munich, winning both the Champions League and LaLiga.
