Leeds Utd are on the cusp of signing Luis Sinisterra for a fee that will break a record at Feyenoord, though the insertion of a clause may dampen the mood ever so slightly. The trusted journalist tweeted Leeds are ‘closing’ on a deal worth £21.5m to Feyenoord. Add-ons could take the final figure higher, though the initial fee is already enough to become Feyenoord’s most expensive ever sale. Contract clause may be inserted The 23-year-old Colombia international has already agreed personal terms with Leeds. However, one minor drawback could come in the form of a sell-on clause. Romano added the deal could include such a clause, though didn’t state at what percentage it would be set at. A sell-on clause would ensure Leeds do not recoup full value in the event they sell Sinisterra down the line. However, that is a small price to pay if it helps land the winger in the first place. Sinisterra to prompt Leeds reshuffle? Sinisterra is right-footed and has predominantly featured on the left flank for Feyenoord. In contrast, the potentially outbound Raphinha plays on the right. As such, the likeliest scenario would see Sinisterra take the left wing role with either Jack Harrison or Daniel James shifting into the position Raphinha vacates. Of course, Sinisterra could be asked to switch wings too. However, his 23 goals in 49 matches from the left last season would suggest he’ll be given priority.
