Zongovation Hub, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) that offers ICT training for young people, has received GH30,000 in funding from Allied Consortiums, a civil engineering firm with headquarters in South Africa. This money will go toward the NGO's training programmes there.
Over 500 kids have been educated in website construction, mobile app development, digitised media, coding, data management, and other ICT related activities by Zongovation, an NGO founded in 2018.
Benjamin Kofi Quashie, group chairman of Allied Consortiums, stated that the corporation was inspired to help the NGO because it recognised its objective and vision.
He said that the legislation was also an effort to encourage social development in the nation, which was why it was decided to give the hub financial support to assist in carrying out its duties.
Allied, which has a presence in Ghana, would continue to support the hub's initiatives going forward, according to Mr. Quashie.
Appreciation
Isaac Kwame Penni, the chief executive officer of Allied Consortiums, praised the centre for its assistance to the nation's young.
He continued by saying that there were plans for further hub support to help the nation's social vices. Mrs. Nonkazimulo Quashie, the administrative director of Allied Consortiums, advised the young people to benefit from the hub's training possibilities to advance their skills.
highlighting the fact that ICT was now the driving force behind society and that young people could not afford to lose the chance to benefit.
Alhassan Khalid, the Zongovation Hub's director of finance and administration, thanked Allied Consortiums for helping his organisation.
He said that, except for a lack of funding, the centre might have assisted more young people in developing their ICT skills, but he added that the assistance had arrived at the ideal moment.
He promised that the money would be wisely used as they worked to prepare more young men and women for financial independence.
Construction, real estate, mining, ICT services, and oil and gas are among businesses that Allied Consortium engages in.
