Edouard Mendy, the goalkeeper for Chelsea, reveals that Mason Mount is Thomas Tuchel's son
Mason Mount is Thomas Tuchel's son, according to Edouard Mendy, who made the claim in a Hublot promotional video.
Since the appointment of the German manager in January 2021, Mount has grown under him and has established himself as one of the Blues' most crucial players.
In all competitions, he contributed to 29 goals last season, which was his greatest year to date in terms of goals and assists.
Frank Lampard, a club legend, brought Mount into Chelsea's first squad after a successful loan stint with Derby County, where he also made an impression under his previous leadership.
The 23-year-old has been the focus of an ongoing joke among supporters since his continuous appearances under both managers, and it now appears that some of the team has joined in on the fun.In a video with sponsors Hublot, Mount, Mendy, and Timo Werner were all playing for Chelsea while answering questions about one another.
After answering the question, the player would pass the ball to the teammate they thought the question was about.
When Mendy, the goalkeeper, was the center of attention, a question was posed to him: "Most likely to seat next to the coach on the bus?"
The Senegal international finally decided after some deliberation, to the shouts of "Edu! Werner said, "Be honest, be honest.
He handed Mount the ball before joking, "It's his son! They can easily sit together.
The Chelsea team will soon get together again for the first time since the conclusion of the previous season, as Tuchel's team prepares to depart for their preseason tour of the United States, where they will play a number of friendlies against Club America, Charlotte FC, and Arsenal.
The west London club will likely aim for their first Premier League championship since 2017 during the upcoming season. Manchester City and Liverpool have split the previous five titles.
With up to six new recruits guaranteed to Tuchel in advance of the new season, they are already gearing up to make moves in the transfer market this summer.
Raheem Sterling, 27, is reportedly "excited" about the thought of joining Chelsea after seven years in Manchester and appears to be close to finalizing his departure from City in the next few days.
In response to Bayern Munich's interest in the Dutchman, Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt has also been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge. The Blues will "raise the stakes" for the Dutchman.
