Ghana striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom claims he would have been one of the top strikers in the world but for incessant injuries.
The 29-year-old has had a roller coaster career, having played for five different clubs in Italy, including top ones like Juventus, Atalanta, and Sassuolo.
He has had a loan stint with Spanish club Elche and spells in Poland, Serbia, and China.
He last played in Israel for Beitar Jerusalem, and he spoke to Adamu Muftawu of Radio Gold Sports.
"I don’t have regrets, but I think if not for my injuries, I would be one of the most famous strikers in Ghana."
Because at a moment in my career, I put in a lot of effort and the more you get consistent in anything, the more you become flawless in it.
At that moment, I considered goal scoring an easy job since the consistency helped a lot and I saw myself as one of the top scorers. "
I have not had regrets but for the injuries, I would definitely be playing for one of the major teams in Europe. "Chelsea,
at a point, showed interest in me when I was heading for China. Wes Brom came in, Brighton also got on board." Boakye Yiadom told Radio Gold Sports. Boakye Yiadom is now a free agent but is set to sign a new deal.
