Yaw Annor, a member of AshantiGold, joins Ismaily, an Egyptian team.
2021/2022 Yaw Annor, who leads the Ghana Premier League in goals scored, has officially transferred from Ashantigold to Egyptian team Ismaily.
The 23-year-old is the club's first signing of the transfer window after agreeing to a five-year, about $200,000 contract.
The just concluded Ghana Premier League season saw Annor score 22 goals in 30 games, tying Hearts of Oak legend Ishmael Addo for the most goals ever scored in a single campaign.
At the 2022 Ghana Football Awards last week, his performance in the Ghana Premier League earned him the prize for best domestic footballer.
During a brief stint in Europe, the winger previously played for Spanish teams CF Fuenlabrada and Burgos CF.
In 2016, Bechem United's MTN FA Cup-winning team included Annor.
Yaw Annor, a professional football player from Ghana who now plays as a winger for Ashanti Gold in the Ghanaian Premier League, was born on December 3, 1997. He had previously played for Burgos CF and CF Fuenlabrada in Spain. During his second season with Bechem United in 2016, he won the Ghanaian FA Cup and was named the FA Cup's best player of the year.
On December 3, 1997, Annor was born in Ho, Ghana's Volta Region's capital city. Prior to being promoted to the senior side in 2015, he began his career with the junior team of Ghana Premier League club Bechem United.
After observing Annor train with the youth team in 2014–2015, Bechem United's head coach Tom Strand decided to promote him to the senior team. From 2015 to 2017, he developed into a crucial member of the team. He had five league goals in the 2015 season. The most significant of these goals came in the season's final game against BA United, when he scored the game's opening goal. His goal propelled Bechem to a 4-1 victory over the Sunyani-based team, moving them from their initial relegation spot—14th—to the 10th position—and preventing them from being dropped to the Division One League.
