He continued, "As part of the larger Takoradi to Tema Interconnection Project (TTIP), WAPCo collaborated with the Ministry of Energy, the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), and the Ghana National Gas Company (GNGC), with technical support from Eni Ghana, to complete the extension of the WAGP in 2020.

The TTIP's completion has transformed WAGP into a multi-shipper environment, enabling access to several natural gas supply sources for numerous consumers.

He said that in March of this year, the WAGP recorded the biggest one-day peak of 258 MMscfd and achieved the highest monthly average record of 215 MMscfd supply to consumers.

Mr. Germani reaffirmed WAPCo's dedication to provide consumers greener, more dependable electricity. In order to support regional economic growth and development, WAGP "guarantees a cost-effective, secure, cleaner, and dependable energy for power generation that will benefit families, communities, companies, and industries throughout the region."

Its dedication to safe operations to preserve life and property is shown in WAPCo's exceptional safety record and practises. With more than eight years and nine million worker hours without a recordable injury, WAPCo places a high premium on safety, he said.

In order to improve the quality of life for its citizens, he continued, "the WAGP will be the backbone in West Africa's energy transition to a lower-carbon environment because it links plentiful, affordable, and clean natural gas to the expanding energy demand centres throughout West Africa."

A recipient of WAPCo's scholarship programme, Miss Juliet Annang Nuerkie, praised the business for helping the weak in the areas where it does business. She claimed that WAPCo had greatly aided both her family and the Kpone neighbourhood. Their kindness has made it possible for me to realise my ambitions and desires. I am convinced that with WAPCo's assistance, I will one day contribute significantly to my neighbourhood and the country as a whole, fulfilling my boyhood promise to do good.
