A journey to overcome Ghana's tallest mountain and the washdown

It was an exceptionally fun at this point bold excursion to the Volta Region as the soil worked during the rising was washed off underneath the most noteworthy cascade in West Africa, Wli falls in a visit organized by Ghana Is Beautiful.

It began with a basic tweet on Thursday, May 26th. JoyNews' Kenneth Awotwe Darko right then and there, nonchalantly posted on the virtual entertainment stage about how much a visit in the Volta locale would intend to him.

As lead visit caretaker for Ghana is Beautiful, I risked on this tweet during my look down the course of events and chosen to make his desire a reality.

Other tweeps had likewise communicated comparative interests under his post and it was just correct that I utilized my abilities to bring their expectations alive.

Quick forward, a schedule was drawn and flyers were intended to approach others to join what might become one of the most brave excursion many have seen at this point.

Following quite a while of publicizing, Volta Road Trip was formally sold out.

On Saturday, June 26th came, members began gathering at the Accra Mall holding on to board and raise a ruckus around town to the primary stop for breakfast, the Adomi Bridge Gardens, Atimpoku.

Formally sold out

A short while after 5:00am, the van moved. Under-conditioned discussions, uproarious chuckling and delicate music drove us to Adomi Bridge Gardens. Breakfast tables were quick set while others set aside some margin to play a few games and view creatures kept in the recreation area.

Adomi Bridge Garden has a python, a few turtles, monkeys, crocodiles and different creatures in and around the lake.

A fast breakfast with a stunning perspective

A fast breakfast it was. Grouped refreshments and a few light tidbits combined with a stunning perspective on the milestone span ignoring the wonderful Volta Lake.

Just after breakfast, members strolled across the Adomi Bridge to have an encounter of life on the extension as they caught a few invaluable minutes as speed boats sped past under us.

The tomfoolery drive proceeded to the data focus of Afadjato. Rapidly, they changed into agreeable clothing and were prepared to overcome the 885m high mountain.

The trip started on an extremely grave note until the vivacious young fellows and ladies began palpitation.

Not set in stone as they were, after various rest pauses and slow movements, they at long last shown up at the pinnacle of Afadjato brimming with cheers and energy.

"This view is insane. I can see Togo from here," Nenebi, one of the members shouted to Joy FM maker, Abeiku Sankofi.

I was shocked to see Nasiba get to the top also along with Fiifi Folson, Joseph Adamafio and Felix Debiase.

Some sat on the floor, while Isaac and Richmond extended as though they had sufficient limit left for Everest.

The delight was to some degree fleeting as there was one more obstacle to cross, dropping the mountain. Albeit less tiring as the trip, the test was forestalling falling and moving down the precarious incline of the mountain.

Obviously, Kenneth fell multiple times however and stalled out on certain ropes attempting to imitate the climbing abilities of a fairly light-footed local escort who is a striker for his High School football crew.

Ama Cromwell snickered yet in the end stumbled and hit her last a couple of meters later. I triumphed ultimately in all of this in light of the fact that, after various visit curations, I sort of felt comfortable around here.

Gradually, we as a whole descended the mountain mentioning a few snacks to recover the energies lost. They had some pie with some organic product juices to adjust.

Matilda was at that point sitting tight for us downhill. She needed more will to go past the initial 200 meters of the trip.

Nii Larte Lartey crunched on his portion of snacks in weariness like his life relied upon it as our transport left the data place.

All jumped aboard in transit Wli Waterfall where lunch comprised of on location chicken barbecues and Jollof rice would be served.

After exactly 15 moment drive, they are right here, at Wli Waterfall, however a cycle of a climb to the real falls. Quickly, the climb began.

The climb to the real falls

Before long, it was right there, the 80 meters fall with an enormous pool of water accumulated under it.

It was right there, Wli Waterfall

Regardless of being stunned by its tendency, my group changed into their swimming wear and enjoy the fall.

Seeing that it was a stormy season, the momentum of water streaming down the stones was a string and practically rough one.

It took corn meal and adrenaline race to confront the sprinkles made when the water hits as the young men went after it like one more episode of Fear Factor.

It was frightening to watch in the midst of the rainbow that framed over all the movement.

The live barbecues at Wli

The fire was set and the all around flavored meat was set on the barbecues. It was a dining experience, a gala at and with nature. An encounter worth a lifetime.

Per the agenda, the following stop was Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary, yet it was chosen consistently to swear off that and have some additional time at Wli.

A couple of moments past 5pm, the return climb was expected. All hands joined to tidy up the plastic and other wreck made.

On the return drive, it was all melodic singalongs and numerous security designated spots.

It got dull, a few downpours had fallen and simply nearly a couple of moments minutes after 10 pm, we were once again at the Accra Mall boarding point.

Farewells were said and, bye it was.

After the folks shared their fondest recollections of the excursion on the web, the following date is set.

It's the last experience to peak the Volta Road Trip series; it is the Keta Expedition this time and it is booked for August 27, 2022.
